Building a Sustainable Future: Sustainable Materials in Architecture and Design

Join CAGSN, CVC-NY, and RENCAA for an insightful in-person panel discussion examining sustainable materials in the built environment. This panel will discuss the latest innovations in sustainable materials, and the opportunities  and challenges in their adoption. Industry experts will share experiences and techniques on how those materials could be used in ground up and existing buildings renovations to accelerate sustainability and resiliency goals in the property sector.

The Columbia Alumni Global Sustainability Network (CAGSN) is an international, multidisciplinary community interested in creating a shared sustainable future. CAGSN welcomes alumni from all of Columbia University’s schools and affiliates and aims to create a space that advances the discussion around cross-sectoral solutions to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy transition, environmental justice, sustainable food systems, and social impact. CAGSN brings its members together through a mix of virtual and in-person social, educational, and networking events. 

Columbia Venture Community (CVC) is a network of more than 6,000+ Columbia University alumni interested in all aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation. Founded in 2006, CVC has hosted more than 400 events around the world. Today, CVC hosts multiple global programs, in-person and virtual events, and an online community for members to share resources.

The Real Estate Network of the Columbia Alumni Association (RENCAA) seeks to connect Columbia Alums interested in real estate from across the university. RENCAA's goal is to be Columbia's primary professional network among commercial and residential industry practitioners, and to aggregate various professional disciplines such as investment management, architecture, transactions, marketing, engineering, law, financial journalism, among others.
