About CAGSN

The Columbia Alumni Global Sustainability Network (CAGSN) is an international, multidisciplinary community interested in creating a shared sustainable future. We welcome alumni from all of Columbia University’s schools and affiliates. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and open forum for diverse perspectives, impactful dialogue, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Drawing on the knowledge and experience of our members and the University’s faculty, we aim to create a space that advances the discussion around cross-sectoral solutions to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy transition, environmental justice, sustainable food systems, and social impact.

We bring our members together through a mix of virtual and in-person social, educational, and networking events. CAGSN follows a hub and spoke model, with New York as centralized hub for bringing members together while also collaborating with Columbia groups in other spoke cities.

CAGSN is a volunteer-run Shared Interest Group (SIG) of the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA).

The CAA is a global network connecting Columbians of all schools to one another and to the University. It links over 300,000 alumni through more than 100 regional clubs and shared interest groups, online resources, and over 200 programs around the world each year. Wherever you are in the world, and whatever you're passionate about, find the benefits of being a Columbian for life at alumni.columbia.edu.
